The Hoadl East Slope in the Stubai Alps opens up to a wide cirque, which is enclosed by a rugged chain of limestone peaks. Here, steep rock faces meet gently sloping grassy slopes that stretch down to the valley floor. A small mountain lake collects the meltwater from the surrounding slopes, embedded in a hollow.

Winding paths traverse the alpine pastures, connecting the different levels of the terrain. The landscape alternates between the barren, bright scree fields beneath the summits and the deep green grass areas of the high pastures. The rock formations offer a strong vertical structure that limits the wide view over the high mountains.
